Welcome!

Welcome to the Survival Tablet blog! This blog will be about maximizing your Android (and iPad but I'll  only be referring to the Android platformin this blog) and making something that you can depend on when SHTF.

Free kindle books, pdfs, programs, EMP protection, memory, and recharging options will be the primary subjects due to the fact the tablet computer can be one of the most no-nonsense vehicles for information storage.

Updates will be as they come meaning it could be 5 times a week or it could be twice a week. I will try to post as often as possible and try to find you new resources to add to your SHTF Tablet as often as I do!

Ok, let's get you caught up:

1. First off you need more memory in your tablet. Most likely your Android tablet can handle 32 gigs (sorry iPad owners) so we'll max it out. A lot of deals are out there but try to stick to name brands like San Disk. Prices on Ebay will vary from $21.99 to $30.00 shipped. I was lucky to get 2 of them at $21.99 each.

2. Get the Amazon Kindle App (free). This will allow you to get books from Amazon (free mostly, possibly an inexpensive one on occasion but I'm cheap) and also read books on other sites in the .mobi format.

The official Amazon Kindle App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.kindle&feature=nav_result#?t=W10.

3. And finally get a pdf reader. I'd like to convert all pdfs I post over to the .mobi format but just in case, let's go ahead and get one now.

The official Adobe PDF reader
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.reader&feature=search_result#?t=W10.

As for the apps, install them to the device but if you don't have the room, install them to each of the SD Micro Cards.

Well that's about it for now! I'll post some files soon on the following topics:
